Before anything gets clean, it gets muddy.
Rene drew a picture on his whiteboard one day; a pipe full of mud, with a valve at the end.
His point? Open that valve and there’s clean water waiting behind all that mud, but the mud has to come out first. No shortcuts around it.
That’s the advice he would give to anyone starting something new: let it be clunky. Let it be choppy. Let it be messy. The clean stuff only shows up after you flush out the mud.
